Week 10- Post 3
Straying from the EdX course and focusing in on one topic was enjoyable for me. I like the fact that now my learning is coming back to one specific thing, rather than with my EdX course it was a new moral theory each week. Learning more about what was ebing said on the impact/effects of the market was interesting because its something all around us and we delved into little things like money incentives and how it all comes back to the market.
questions: what would life look like if money can only buy material items instead of the non-material items (education, political influence) that lead to the amount of inequality we have?
when thinking about the use of money incentives should we base morality on the results that prevail from it(ex. the kid is going to start reading more), or how the people being paid feel afterwards (like the intrinsic value, motivation to do it on their own)?
